A-STEP is a two-step program that begins with an 80-hour didactic course (STEP 1) through an A-STEP Provider. STEP 2 is
separate and it involves a series of online modules purchased through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The
modules are not part of the 80 hour didactic program.

All sessions are held on the Kettering Medical Center Campus. Classroom instruction and lectures are in the Boonshoft
Medical Arts Building and practical training is in the Sleep Disorders Center. Class times are 8am to 5pm M-F.

Costs
$1800 per student. Meals and Lodging are not included.
A $100 non refundable application fee is required, along with completed registration form. Your registration form
will be processed when your payment is received.
Payment can be made with a check payable to "Donna Arand, A-Step" with a copy of your online registration form which you will be able to print once you've submitted it.

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required for registration. To learn more about these modules visit
www.brpt.org and www.aasmnet.org.
Note: Anyone seeking to become a registered polysomnographic technician (RPSGT) will also have to
complete the A-STEP online modules and the necessary job training before taking the registry exam. The Kettering A-Step
course is only the 80-hour A-Step didactic and does not include these additional registry requirements.
