Renovations Continue at Greene Memorial Hospital

Greene Memorial Hospital President Greg Henderson recently made a presentation to Xenia Rotary Club members to inform the community of numerous renovations being made at GMH.

Outlined below is a synopsis of all improvements completed or underway at GMH:

  • Recently new flooring was installed on the ground floor of the hospital replacing carpeting that had been in place for a number of years.  The new flooring provides an entirely new look and feel to the hallways, brightening the environment considerably.  In addition, plans are being reviewed to renovate Emergency Room waiting areas.
  • Over $100,000 has been invested in upgrades to the grounds and landscaping including updated signage; GMH is committed to also being an aesthetically pleasing facility within the Xenia community.
  • Renovations to the surgery locker room and physicians’ dining area have upgraded the appearance and functionality of areas while also increasing staff and physician satisfaction, further enhancing the ability to provide outstanding patient care.
  • Plans are underway to remodel the entire front entrance including the welcome desk, gift shop and coffee shop.
  • Two million dollars invested in the Cardiac Cath Lab; the investment in technology brings state-of-the-art care to GMH. GMH now has a dual-use interventional imaging and catheterization facility.
  • Accreditation as a Chest Pain Center. The value of the cath lab is reinforced through the accreditation of GMH as a Chest Pain Center. The addition of the Cardiac Cath & Interventional Imaging Lab, along with the chest pain center designation demonstrates a commitment to providing the community with advanced cardiac and vascular health care.
