What Is “The Adventists?”
The Adventists is a 60-minute documentary film exploring the history and modern implementation of the health ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

The idea for this project came to Martin Doblmeier of Journey Films, (a renowned filmmaker who has created award-winning films including The Power of Forgiveness, Bonhoeffer and Albert Schweitzer: Called to Africa) while visiting friends in Loma Linda, California. It struck him as interesting that the Adventists have a unique message of preparation for the second coming of Jesus Christ and yet a highly visible commitment to delivering advanced medical care in the modern age.

Several years later and after visits to Loma Linda University Medical Center, Kettering Health Network, Florida Hospital, St. Helena Hospital, the Ellen G. White Estate and the General Conference in Washington DC, the film is completed and ready for release.

In addition, plans are underway for PBS broadcasts of the film, scheduled around Easter.
